"# Totally" Scrapbook Layout + process video by Louise

 Hi Crafters

Louise with you today.
I hope you enjoy this new layout - a big change from my usual "boy" style".

"# Totally"

I adore this collection from Kaisercraft and decided that even though I was scrapping a photo of Master Z, I wanted to make a more "pretty" layout - one that I could keep as a memory for myself.

In this case, it's the answers to the Mothers Day interview (which turned up some very interesting results ...)

You can find all of these products in store - see the link below.

Here is the process video if you'd like to watch .

Thanks for visiting.

You're Precious

Hello dear friends!  It's Ann here with another Gorjuss Girl (hope you're not sick of them yet!) .

This little cutie (and only $4.99 from Scrapbook Boutique shop) is entitled Waiting.  I've coloured her with Copics, fussy cut her out and popped her up over a die cut background.  Beneath the die cut  (one of 3 by Tim Holtz in his Mixed Media 3 set) is paper from MFT Graphic Grid Pastels range.   From my stash I found some coordinating washi tape and added Ranger enamel drops in purple.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Layering Fuchsia stamp set.

Thanks so much for visiting, and I do hope you find time to enjoy some special crafting time!

Products available from Scrapbook Boutique:

Embellishments:  Ranger enamel dots, purple
Paper:  MFT Graphic Grid pastels paper pad

A Stampendous Rainbow Birthday Card

Hi there! Happy Friday peeps!
It's Linda here today with some rainbow goodness for you -
I can never resist a Distress Ink Rainbow and knew it would work well
with this sweet stamp from Stampendous - do you agree?

1. Cut card front from Strathmore Bristol Smooth Watercolour Card
2. Wipe over with the anti-static powder tool and stamp 'Cling Candle Wish' image in Versamark Ink
3. Sprinkle on Nuvo Classic Gold embossing powder and melt with heat tool
4. Choose your rainbow of Distress Inks - I've used Picked Raspberry/Festive Berries/Spiced Marmalade/Mustard Seed/Twisted Citron/Mermaid Lagoon/Seedless Preserves
5. Spray card front with a mini mister so it's slightly damp
6. Smoosh the first DI colour onto an acrylic block and pick up with a wet brush before applying it to your card
7. Continue adding your rainbow of colours, spritzing again with the mini mister when the card dries out
8. Put aside and allow to dry
9. Cover your card base with gold glittered cardstock and adhere watercoloured piece on top with craft foam for dimension
10. Embellish with gold star sequins.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend on the way -
- perhaps with some crafty time for you to enjoy :-)

See you again soon...

Hi there!

Popping in to show you today's card is using Concord & 9th background blocks set. I tried a few ways to stamp them in a row and it was becoming very frustrating.  I ended up using my MISTI and stamping two rows and then turning the paper upside down! easy peasy.

Products Used

Echo Park Happy Birthday Word Die Set
Altenew Wishing you stamp set

*Trim base card 25cm x 12.5cm and fold in half
* Trim white cardstock 12cm x 11.5 cm
*arrange Concord & 9th Background blocks in 2 rows on your MISTI (in the middle of the misti as you are going to turn paper around)
*Ink up your altenew Dye in colour of preference
*repeat a couple of times to get a nice even coverage
*Turn cardstock unside down and repeat.
* you should have a nice row of 4
* Die cut sentiment in middle of card
*Die cut sentiment again using black carstock
*place black sentiment work into the space on the card
* Adhere to base card.

"This is Everything" Scrapbook layout + process video by Louise

 Hi Crafters

Louise on the blog today.
Here is a new scrapbook layout featuring some great new products in store.

"This is everything"

I very rarely do a double page but this paper collection from DCWV inspired me to create this double layout.

I have had these photos printed for such a long time and when I flipped through this paper pad, I knew they would be perfect.

I've teamed these papers with Crate Paper "Wild Heart" ephemera. It just works perfectly with the papers.

While working on this layout, I tried to think of ways to incorporate a little mixed media but each time I just couldn't bring myself to "mess" with this layout.
I eventually decided to simply stitch around each area of the patterned papers with black first then white thread.

I love the striking simplicity of the patterned papers.

Here is the process video if you'd like to watch .

Thanks for visiting.

Rainy Daze

Hello friends!  Ann here to share with you one of my latest crazes, which I must admit took me totally by surprise!  I am hooked on the Gorjuss girls by Santoro!  They must have been around for quite a while, but totally passed me by, as there are many examples on Pinterest to whet your appetite.  However, I've found them now, and I intend to explore all possibilities with them before I leave them for a while.

They are so cute and delightful to bring to life with colouring, paper piecing or with dies.
For my card, I used a combination of Copic markers, paper piecing and spongeing.
Unfortunately, as I prepare this post I see that this stamp is sold out, but if you'd like to check out the Scrapbook Boutique shop, you'll find loads of other little girls just as cute!  Check out here and here for some examples.  These stamps come in two sizes that I am aware of - this one is just over 10cm, shown here on a 13cm square card but others are smaller, and I have another card on my blog using Little Love with the main image just under 8cm high and it is available, as are so many more.

Steps in making this card:

  • Stamp image on smooth white card, suitable for Copic markers.  My card panel measures 11.5cm square.
  • Stamp dress, boots and hat again on the packaging (or card of your choice) and cut out. I used the packaging, for two reasons - the colour is beautiful, and also Santoro is about re-using and re-cycling, so I should follow their example.  I also added a little shading to the pieces using Prismacolour pencils.
  • Stamp the tie on a scrap of paper and colour it, then cut out.
  • Colour face, arms and hair with your choice of markers
  • Adhere the paper pieced pieces in place, adding the tie to the front of the dress - note that it includes the neck - it was easier that way:)
  • Colour the puddle in pale pink, light blue to suit colouring on card, and also the hearts.
  • This set includes 2 spare hearts and I stamped and coloured 5 of them to add as embellishments.
  • Sponge the background - I first used C1 next to the image, then blended Memento Angel Pink and finally Lulu Lavender to the background.  This was spattered with water drops as the image was in the rain.
  • Mount the image onto 13cm square card - after first cutting a contrast strip of packaging along the bottom.
  • Finally I added some clear Nuvo drops to her hat and puddle.
Thanks so much for visiting today, and I hope you find some lovely crafty time!

Products available from Scrapbook Boutique:
Stamp:  Rainy Daze by Santoro - you can leave details for when it is back in stock
Card:  Smooth white card, lilac card for card base
Nuvo crystal clear drops

Stampendous Goodies

Hi there - it's Linda here. Great to have you with us today :-)

I've been having some fun playing with a new Stampendous Stamp Set -

Here's my card...and step by step instructions -

1. Cut Copic friendly white cardstock with Square Die large enough to hold Stampendous Candles image
2. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink stamp image on die cut piece
3. Colour candles with Copics  leaving portions to fill in with glitter
4. Add liquid glue to portion of candle (one candle at a time) and sprinkle on chosen Stampendous Glitter
5. Shake off excess glitter and allow to dry before moving on to next candle
6. Choose coordinating patterned paper and create square card from same white cardstock as used in Step 1
7. Adhere patterned paper with DST and adhere candle image backed with craft foam for added interest

This was a fun set to play with and results in an eye-catching yet simple birthday card.

I hope you have some crafting fun this week too!
Bye for now...

Congrats with Angela

Hi There! Ange here with a CAS card made with the delicious Concord & 9th Bits and Pieces stamp set.  This set is fabulous and ticks all my boxes ( shapes, 2 step stamps, small sentiments) I do love a repeated shape too!!!  I have used the vellum for the sentiment shadow and although it's not too noticeable from the pic it is a nice subtle touch on the card.

* Trim black cardstock 10cm x 28cm and fold in half for a portrait card
* Using Concord & 9th bits and pieces stamp set's 2 hexagon shapes, stamp in a pattern as shown down the page.
* Turn the stamp so the shape creates a different pattern and making sure there is a white border with each stamp.
* Die cut sentiment with red cardstock and the shadow image with vellum.
* adhere sentiment to middle of the card with glossy accents.
