"My Dreams 2018" by Louise - Scrapbook Layout + process video

 Hi Crafters

It's Louise with you today.
My share is a piece featuring ... "No" mixed media.
I decided that this beautiful collection really didn't need too much.

"My dreams 2018"

How lovely is the "Misty Mountains" collection from Kaisercraft.
I adore the patterns and palette of these papers.

Now I'm a little late to the whole filter thing with photos but I've discovered it ...
and what a cute way to record our pictures.

I decided that I was going to make this page about me and my feelings for 2018.
So I've typed up some (quite random) thoughts and feelings and added them to the back of the page.

I didn't have a plan when creating this page.
The cut file really helped with the position of items and I love how the paper looks behind it.

Here is the process video if you'd like to watch .

Thanks for visiting.

Painted Flowers

Hello everyone - Ann here today with a bright and flowery card - with hopes the autumn weather stays mild for a while longer.

The stamp used is by Altenew - they produce such wonderful stamps to cover any flower imaginable, and though this one is not new, it is still available in the Scrapbook Boutique store.

The stamp set includes four different sizes of bloom,  and four layers which can be used to colour them.  However, the outline stamp has a sketchy style, which really suits a loose water colour technique, so this is the only layer I used.

No masking - I just stamped with Versafine Black ink and clear embossed each bloom in a random group in the top left corner. I added a few sprigs and leaves to fill spaces.

I repeated this method in the bottom right corner, leaving enough room for the sentiment.

I 'painted' with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush water colour markers - wetting a small area first then dropping the colour into the water and letting it flow where it wished.  Some colours were left a little lighter than I wanted, so for those I added colour once it had dried.

I decided to make my final card a little larger than normal, as the bright colours looked quite bold and needed to be framed by an equally bold border - I chose some green woodgrain paper by Kaisercraft from my stash for this.

The ivory base card measures 14 x 18, the green mount is 12 x 16.5cm and the stamped watercolour panel is 10 x 14.5cm.

The sentiment needed to be black, so I die cut the happy (by Simon Says Stamp) with black card then black glitter adhered together, and the Birthday. from Mama Elephant stamp set Happy Everything, is stamped on black card and white heat embossed.

A few black enamel dots complete the card.

I do have another card using the same stamp set on my blog, if you'd like to pop over and check that one out too!  It's not at all like this one.

Thank you so much for coming by and I wish you plenty of happy crafting time for yourself!
