"JLC course" layout by Narelle Riley

Hi everyone, Narelle here sharing with you my first ever "pocket" Scrapbooking layout! I have to admit that I didn't think I would ever really get into this style of scrapping, but after giving it a go I can see the attraction!

I used the Echo Park "Boys Rule"  collection kit, and what I really enjoyed about it was the ability to create a double layout with a normal 12x12 layout on one side and then use the included divided photo sleeve/pocket page to easily slip in photos etc.

  • Trim "cars and planes" to 11" x 11" and ink edges.  Adhere on the denim cardstock at an angle.
  • Mat one photo, trimmed to 8cm x 10cm on to one of photo journal cards.
  • Adhere a collection of photos onto the layout at various angles. Including a sticker border on the bottom right corner.
  • Tuck a 6x4 journal card under the main photo in the bottom right corner.
  • Select some stickers from the sticker sheet to embellish the layout
  • For the right side of the layout select one of the divided sleeve pages and insert photos and journal cards trimmed to size.
  • Cut some features from the paper to embellishment some of the smaller journal cards.

Homespun by Linda Langes

Hi there:)
Linda here today with a layout created with the gorgeous
Simple Stories Homespun Collection.
I'm a sucker for the homespun look and this collection
certainly didn't disappoint.....perfect for older photos:)

1.     For your background adhere together the piece from the Border and Title Strip Elements sheet and the Timber Family Patterned paper.
2.     Where the two pieces join adhere a scalloped strip of Heart and Home Paper with foam tape.
3.     Adhere your photo above the title and garland.
4.     Hand Cut the half doily feature from the patterned papers and adhere it with foam tape above your photo and add alphabet stickers for your title.
5.     Further embellish your layout with brads and stickers from the collection.

Happy Birthday with Angela

Hello there!  I have been eyeing off this Avery Elle Fanfare stamp Set for a while now and and I'm happy I finally have had a chance to use it!
I have used a few techniques with this card and I love how it has turned out.

Trim white card stock 29cm x 11cm and fold in half portrait

Trim blue card stock 14.5 cm x 11 cm and put aside

Ink up Avery Elle patterned stamp with versa mark white card stock and emboss with white embossing powder

With distress inks gradually blend and cover all card stock

Die cut a small circle in the top third of card Place over top of blue card stock and with grey lead pencil, lightly trace around circle

Using the pencil line as a guide, emboss greeting with white embossing powder

Die cut two circles to create thin border and adhere to front of card.

Adhere with foam dots
