'Smile' Card by Therese

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Therese has created a lovely card to share today. I hope it gets you feeling crafty too!

1. Fold a white card base 260mm X 130mm in half.
2. Cut design paper 120mm X 120mm and adhere to the card front with double sided tape.  Wrap bakers twine around a few times and tie a bow to the left side.  Secure the bow with a glue dot.
3. Cut white cardstock 85mm X 85mm and score 25mm squares using the score board.  Round the edges with the Corner Chomper.   Stamp the sentiment on design paper, round the edges and adhere it to the right side of the panel to create a tab.
4. Die cut 9 shapes and circles (use the smallest circle die) in assorted papers.   Attach these together with foam dimensionals and decorate with rhinestones.  (I stamped the birds feet in black ink, but this could be optional)

5. Use foam dimensionals to adhere the circles to the panel and also to fix the panel to the front of the card.

Ink Comparison by Jennifer Mcguire

Hi Everyone
Thought I'd share this great ink comparison video created by Jennifer Mcguire.

'Fishing' Layout by Narelle

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Narelle has created a lovely layout to share today. I hope it brings you some more creative inspiration.

Note-  the edges of all paper pieces have been inked with "Iced Spruce" distress ink.
1.  Use "Beachside" from the Fancy Pants "Down by the shore" paper pack as the base paper.
2. Cut the "striped towel" paper to 10cm x 20cm and adhere in the lower right corner (plain side up), 1.5cm from the bottom edge and 2cm from the right edge.
3.  Trim the "whale" paper to 24cm x 24cm, taking care to ensure that you keep the printed flourishes on the paper when you cut.  Adhere 3cm from the bottom edge and 3cm from the left edge of the base paper.
4.  Cut a 6cm x 28cm strip of "whale" paper  and adhere *(spotted side up) 4cm from the base and 1cm from the left edge.
5.  Cut a 4.5cm x 29cm strip of the "wave rider" paper and adhere in the centre of the spotted paper.
6.  Add the photos as shown.
7.  Die cut a bow and adhere at the base of the left photo (or tie a ribbon bow)
8.  Die cut some clouds and butterflies and embellish the upper right  corner of the layout, adding pearls for some bling.
9.  For the title-  ink with yellow ink (yes it was yellow but once absorbed into the chipboard turns a perfect shade of green to match the papers!!), then spritz with opaque white mist.  allow to dry then lightly ink again with the yellow ink.  If you want a slightly glossy finish apply versamark ink then clear embossing powder and melt with a heat gun, or add a glaze product such as dimensional magic and allow to dry.
10.  Adhere the chipboard title using helmar 450 glue.

'Happiness' Card by Sue

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Sue has created a beautiful card to share today. I hope it gets you feeling crafty too!
1. Trim score and fold white card to make a 5.5 inches square card base.
2. Trim honey card to 5.25inches square. Adhere to card base with double sided tape.
3. Trim 1 piece of white card to 5-1/8” square and a second piece to 5” x 1.5”.
4. Emboss the top section of the 5-1/8” square and the smaller piece of white card using a Cuttlebug Swiss dots e.f.
5. Using a Copic Marker to match the colour of the honey card (Y11,15), colour a length of seam binding.  Wrap the binding around the small strip of embossed white card and finish with a bow on the left hand side.  Adhere this to a piece of honey card.
6. Using the above layer as a guide position the small Spellbinder Window Three die over the larger square of embossed white card in the top right hand corner.  Secure the die if need be and cut the window shape.
7. Die cut Fresh Foliage from white card and spritz with Glimmer Mist.
8. Die cut three sets of double Petal Party flowers from honey card. Shape and build the flowers using Art Glitter – dries clear adhesive. Add a pearl to the centre of each. Spritz with Glimmer Mist.
9. Position the Fresh Foliage to the left of the die cut window and adhere. I use just a touch of the dries clear adhesive to some of the leaves to secure. Leave some of the bottom leaves free, to sit over the sentiment layer.
10. Adhere the sentiment panel to the bottom of the card front.
11. Stamp the sentiment( Flourishes – Garden Gate) to white card. Cut and emboss using a Classic Small Oval die from Spellbinders. Pop this up on the right of the sentiment panel using adhesive foam squares.
12. Add the three sets of flowers over the foliage. Pop some tiny pearls over the offcut centres of the flowers and add these to the card front.
13. To finish the card use adhesive foam squares to pop up the completed window panel over the card base.
