Happy Holidays

How appropriate that we are nearly at the end of November, and I have a card for you wishing you a Happy Holiday - however you enjoy it!

It's Ann here with a card made for the season - and I've used the lovely Poinsettia stamp and matching die by Kaisercraft.

It's a CAS card with one main focus, complemented by the large 'happy' and a fun splashed background.

I love the 'happy' and this time I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed it, giving it that little extra shine.  For large stamps such as this, I like to use my Misti - so that I can stamp it several times if needed to achieve full coverage.

I stamped the poinsettia a few times, colouring one completely with Copics.  Another I coloured a few petals in red, and I also coloured a few more leaves.  The stamp set I used comes with matching dies, but I couldn't find it today in the store, but I did find a similar stamp called Christmas Edition, which contains exactly the same flower if you like it as much as I do!

The white panel was cut to 10 x 13 cm, and splashed with very wet red watercolour (I used DI Festive Berries) and allowed to dry, before splashing with DI Mowed Lawn.  The sentiment was stamped, and then the panel was mounted on red card 10.5 x 13.5cm.

The flower was adhered to the bottom left corner with wet glue, with a few extra leaves poked in around it then the top layer was added with a couple of foam dots.

The panel was adhered to a top folding white card measuring 11 x 14cm.  The popped up portion of the flower was coated with Spectrum Noir clear shine, and a few gold flakes were added to the centre.  As you can see, a few specks escaped!

I stamped a red poinsettia (uncoloured) on the top right corner of the inside to finish my card.

Thank you so much for visiting, and hope you enjoy some very happy crafting!
