'Merry" a festive card from Sue

Hello everyone,

It's Sue and today I have a Christmas card to share using a couple of dies from Memory Box.
Merry Cursive and Ho Ho Holly.

  1. Trim, score and fold smooth white card to make a card base measuring 4-2/8" x 5-4/8".
  2. Add a layer of DSP to cover the front of the card.
  3.  Trim a second strip of DSP to measure 5-4/8" x 2-1/8". Centre the merry die securing with low tac tape and run through the die cutting machine. Set aside the 'merry' for another project, we need the outline only.
  4.  Using double sided tape adhere the outline cut over a piece of red card and trim to show 1/8" of red card above and below the outline.
  5. From a scrap of the red card, die cut another 'merry' and using an X-Press it glue pen adhere within the outline.
  6. Stamp Christmas once in black then a second time in gold ink to card front. Using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with positioning.
  7. Die cut a set of three holly leaves from DSP and attach to card front so that the outline stands up.  Add the holly berries with Liquid Pearls.

Thanks for taking the time today............

"To the moon and back" Tutorial by Narelle

Hi everyone

It's Narelle here with a layout using the gorgeous Fancy pants "Burlap and Bouquets" collection. I just adored the hessian look of the background paper for this layout!

  1. Mat a photo on the red side of the "I heart you paper" with a fine border.
  2. Cut a rectangle of the chevron side of "I heart you paper" 14cm x 19cm, and a strip 20cm x 2cm.
  3. Cut a rectangle 16cm x 22cm from the spotted side of "vintage lace" paper and a strip 3.5cm x 16cm.
  4. Die cut 3 flowers from the "vision" paper using the  MFT Botanical Beauty dies, using the reverse side of the paper for the flower centres.
  5. Assemble the layout by adhering the this chevron strippmat the top of the layout 1cm from the right edge, with the spotted strip over the top 3cm from the right edge, along with a flowers and a word sticker.
  6. Adhere the large spotted rectangle 4cm from the left edge and 5cm from the bottom edge and the large chevron rectangle 2cm from the left edge and 6cm from the bottom edge.
  7. Tuck a label sticker under the top right corner then adhere the photo 5cm from the left edge and 4cm from the bottom edge.
  8. Add two flowers in the lower left corner, tied with brown twine bows, and include word stickers and fish tail banner stickers.
  9. Finish the layout with a large word phrase sticker.
