Hi - it's Ann here with some simple colouring of some simply magnificent magnolias by Altenew!

I would think mostly everyone would love this flower - in the garden it has great majesty, and certainly on a card it is so beautiful.  I gave up trying to create a stunning background to do justice to  the flowers, and simply let them do all the talking:)

I have used just a few Copic markers:  RV10, RV23, RV95, E04 for the petals, and C1 and G00 for the leaves.  The stamens were coloured with Y15, YR23, E04 and C2.  I used blending paper for the flower panel.

This stamp set contains three large flower stamps, the leaves, and a couple of buds, so the first step is to layout how you want to arrange them.  I find this the hardest part, and even created masks for the flowers (just in case) though ultimately I only used them when I needed to pop the leaves behind the flowers.  I white heat embossed the images as I was aiming for a delicate look and didn't want a dark outline.  I stamped the sentiment from the set using Versafine Onyx Black and allowed it time to dry.

I cut the panel using the large scallop rectangle from Mama Elephant Basic Set dies and mounted it with craft foam over blue card folded to form a standard card base of 10.5 x 14.8cm.  I added a few drops of Nuvo for embellishment.

Thanks so much for visiting today, and I wish you all Happy Crafting!
