Lots of Happy - Card & Video by Therese

Hi, it's Therese here and I need more masculine cards! so I created my own coloured embossing paste and use some Mama Elephant stamps for a clean and simple design.  I filmed the process so you can watch.

Happy Birthday back with Altenew

It's Ann back again with my third card using Altenew's Peony Scrolls.  This time the card is even simpler, but with the flower cut out and layered.  I hope you like it!

Steps to make this card:

Stamp two flowers on blending card, and colour in the same way for each.  Also stamp and colour leaves.  Trim these images out, but on the second flower, just keep the centre petals.

Cut a panel of white cardstock 8.5cm wide and 14.5cm long.  To create a focal point/background, mask a circle on the card front (about 6cm diameter) and stamp a background stamp in the circle.  I used Hardwood, by Stampin' Up! because I didn't have another all over background stamp I thought would suit.  I'll be looking for another one to add to my supplies soon!

Choose a coordinating strip of pattern paper, trim to 1.5cm wide and adhere to the left side of your card base.  I chose the pink paper with an outline flower image from the Echo Park 6x6" paper pad, I love Sunshine.  Adhere the white panel to cover the rest of the card.

Arrange your flower and leaves, and adhere to the edge of the circle, using tombow mono multi glue and also foam squares for dimension.  Use dimension in adhering the top petals of the flower.

Stamp the sentiment of your choice.  I used Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler for mine, as I love the casual font and stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black for a crisp result.

Well, now you have seen my 3 cards all using Altenew's Peony Scrolls.  I hope I have done justice to this beautiful stamp set, and you love it as much as I do!

Thanks so much for visiting, and happy crafting through 2016!

"Sun, Sand & Surf" by Narelle Riley

Hi everyone!

Narelle here, with another layout featuring the fabulous Kaisercraft "Sail away"range.  Just looking at these photos makes me want to go on another holiday!  Oh wait....... as this post goes up my family and I will be getting ready to do just that!  What great timing :)))))

  Instructions

  1. Use "Compass"as the base paper.
  2. Ink the edges of all the papers and embellishments with grey ink.
  3. Cut navy side of "Sail away ship" to 18.5cm x 24.5cm  and adhere 3cm from right edge and 3cm from lower edge of layout.  (Note that I have used some thin chipboard between the layers to create a small amount of dimension)
  4. Using another sheet of the "sail away ship" paper, cut to 16.5cm x 21.5cm and adhere in the centre of the navy paper, and 1cm up from the base.
  5. Find the "rope/knot" paper in the 6.5 inch pad and cut an 8cm strip.  Cut this in half to create and adhere one piece 1cm in the from the left edge and 2cm up from the base of the grey paper.  Adhere the other piece 2cm up from the base and 1cm from the right edge of the layout.
  6. Adhere the photo over the top, using foam tape if you want extra dimension on your layout.
  7. Add the die cut embellishments as shown.
