Amanda here with you today. We are loving the spring weather here in Perth, I hope you're having gorgeous weather you enjoy wherever you are in the world. We celebrate this happy weather by heading down to the beach as often as we can (with four kids it is slightly organised chaos!), and its awesome!
Here's a layout I created around a photo I took on my iPhone of the kids swimming at this little bay area as the sun was going down. We had been there a few hours, and it was also my youngest first time at the beach (he wasn't walking just yet) so this photo has so many beautiful memories attached to it.
To create this layout I started with a plain 12x12 white cardstock sheet, then used a small heart stencil and texture paste in opposite corners of the page. After this dried I went to town using mists in apricot, yellow, blue and pink, then added a touch of Shimmer Mist for sparkle.
I used my heat gun to zap the background between layers of mist, and also dabbed the page down with paper towel too to lift colour here and there (where I'd been a little heavy handed).
I put my photo on a couple of layers of Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Make a Wish papers, and also added some embellishments from the range here and there.
For my title I put down some washi tape, then layered on alphas from the Cocoa Vanilla range. I sewed over the top of the alphas to ensure they stay in place for years to come, then added a few more stitches on the top and bottom of the layout.
There you have it. I hope you feel inspired to get some spring/summer photos scrapped - its certainly a beautiful time of the year.
