Such a perfect day by Judith Armstrong

Hello, Judith here today with my second layout created using Kaisercraft Time Machine. It is a great masculine range and I found this old photo of my son which matched the colours perfectly.

  1. I began using the Kaisercraft Time Machine Steam Machine for my base.
  2. Using the Bo Bunny clock stencil I added part stencils around the edges of the page using Distress Ink and Liquid Pearls.
  3. I matted my photo with Time Machine Coggler and then Clocks.
  4. Before adhering the photo and mats to the page I tucked some stickers and embellishments from the sticker sheet and the Collectables under the mat on the bottom right and top left.
  5. Once I adhered my photo and mats down I added a title and some sentiments from the sticker sheet and Collectables using foam tape.
  6. I added a title using some of the alphas from the sticker sheet which I inked to match the colour scheme of the layout.
And here are a couple of close ups.

The liquid pearl really does shine!

Thanks for looking

Judith xx

You Stole My Heart

Hi there - it's Ann here today to share a Clean and Simple card featuring the repeated use of a sentiment to create a background.  I combined two sentiments from the Hero Arts - Stamp and Cut set 'Animals' because they had a more interesting decorative look, which is what this card needed.

My elephant comes from the Avery Elle set 'Ellie'.

Here are some tips to create that background:

  • Place your sentiment stamps onto a long block, preferably with lines, and commence stamping somewhere near the middle of your card.
  • When the first line is complete, stamp again below, but ensure that you stagger where the words will be.
  • Complete stamping your lines to the bottom of the card, then return to the middle and stamp upwards.
  • This method helps you to keep your lines straight, but of course, if you are worried about that, you could always rule faint pencil lines as a guide.
I trimmed 1.5cm off the left side of my stamped panel, and adhered it to the colour A2 card.

Stamp the elephant and heart balloon from the Ellie stamp set,  colour with your choice of medium and fussy cut them out.

I layered my images over a doily heart die cut, then stamped the XOXO from the Waffle flower stamp set: Loved near the bottom.

The extra hearts neat the top of the card were created by swiping white card stock with the ink used (HA Pale Tomato shadow ink) and clear heat embossing.  I used a little punch for these stars but stamped the mint stars with a star from the Animal set.

A pretty simple card, but a lot of fun to do although I did hold my breath while I did the line stamping - I think I made it through without messing up too much!

I hope you like this technique, and will give it a try!

Thanks so much for visiting today and happy crafting!
