How you doing sunshine?

Hi there!! Angela here with a card using my favourite technique at the moment....... blending!!  I just LOVE the subtle change in colours with the distress inks and I think the MFT Sun Ray stencil is so cool!  I have been eyeing it off for a while and  had so many ideas of things to do using different colours.  It is really easy stencil to blend with too I must say. It wasn't as red but then I got carried away with the Barn Door LOL!!!

* Trim white cardstock to 12cm x 12cm
* On a craft mat adhere MFT Sun ray stencil so it doesn't move
*With a blending tool, start blending Squeezed Lemon all over
* Then start blending Scattered Straw, although not the whole stencil
* Next start blending Wild Honey half way up the stencil.
* Start Blending with Barn Door, as it is a dark colour, take care to start off the stencil and gradually just go around the edges to achieve a truly blended look.
* Finish off with Squeezed Lemon again to bring it all together.
* Once you are happy, take off the stencil, take care to lift off rather than slide off as it may smudge onto negative area.
* Ink up Avery Elle "Sunshine and stamp towards bottom of the sun
* Stamp "How you doing" sentiment on white strip and cut little fish tail on each side and adhere with foam dot above sunshine sentiment.
* Adhere 3 SC green enamel dots as shown
*Trim 25cm x 12.5 back cardstock and fold in half
*Adhere card to base, leaving a border around three edges.

  1. Great card Angela! I am also loving stencilling right now - so easy to 'make your own' layer or background. That Sun Ray stencil is definitely on my 'list'...

  3. Stunning card Angela! I love stencils too - They add so much to a card, but in this case, they really make the card! Perfection in blending too:)
