"Christmas 2009' Layout by Linda

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Linda has created a lovely layout to share today. I hope you find some time to get a bit of crafting in.

Tutorial:
1. Use polka dot red/cream paper for background. Distress and ink edges.
2. Encourage some larger tears in 3 spots around the edge of the background piece (creating a visual triangle) and adhere silver glitter paper behind these torn pieces.
3. Cut a 15cm piece of the starry paper and punch the edge with a favourite border punch.
4. Adhere this piece10cm down from top of layout.
5. Cut out two patterns from the 6x6” design papers (I chose stripes and brown text)
6. Crumple these pieces in your hands, smooth out and ink edges.
7. Adhere them offset across the middle of the layout, encouraging some corners to curl.
8. Adhere your photo first to chipboard and then in the centre of the layout with foam tape.
9. Select a coordinating flower from your stash and add to the bottom left of the photo with a banner strip showing the year.
10. Punch or handcut banners from the various patterned papers.
11. Mat them with brown card and arrange to the left and right of the photo, adhering with foam tape.
12. Add a chalkboard or other suitable sticker to top right corner of layout. Embellish with Tim Holtz stars.
13. Create your journalling strips. Ink and distress and adhere to the bottom right of the layout. Accent with Tim Holtz stars.
14. Tear off 3 pieces of Tim Holtz Star Tissue Tape and adhere around the layout to create another visual triangle.
