'Lovely Aster' Cards - 2 Ways by Sue

Hi Everyone,
Our DT Gal Sue has created 2 beautiful cards to share today.
I hope they get you feeling crafty too!

Tutorial:
Version 1
•    Trim, score and fold Smooth White card to make a 5.75” square card.
•    Trim D P to 5-5/8”
•    From Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock and using Heartfelt Creations Decorative Window Scene die cut and emboss one shape. Trim the cross bars from the centre of the die cut shape.
•    Adhere the die cut frame to the D P, stamping the sentiment in the centre of the frame.
•    Using Lovely Aster dies, die cut three flowers. (Mine are made up of 3 layers in lilac and two layers of the yellow centres). Shape the flowers by curling the petals over the handle of a paintbrush or similar.
•    From green card die cut several leaves using the leaf die.
•    Spritz the assembled flowers and leaves with water that has a little PearlEx Pearl White powder added. This gives the flowers a pretty sparkle.
•    Arrange the flowers and leaves over the window die. Adding Chocolate Flourish With A Bling half pearls.
•    Wrap some ribbon over the top left corner, securing at the back of the DP. Tie a bow in a second piece of ribbon and attach this over the corner.
•    Adhere the completed card front to the white card background.

CAS
•    Trim, score and fold smooth white card to make a 4.25” x 5.5” top fold card.
•    Using Faber Castell’s Metallic Grape, colour Hero Arts Sweet Threads Antique background stamp. Spritz lightly with water, and place a piece of smooth white card over the spritzed image. Use a brayer to make sure the image is transferred to the card. Lift off and set aside to dry before trimming to size.
•    Using Core’dinations Distress Collection in lavender, die cut 3 layers of petals from Memory Box’s Lovely Aster. (I didn’t use the largest die, cutting two of the smaller shapes.) From yellow card die cut 3 of the flower centres. Die cut 3 leaves from green card.
•    Shape and layer the flower, using Art Glitter dries clear adhesive.
•    Trim an inch wide strip of green card and stamp the sentiment in VersaFine onyx black ink.  Add this strip over the background panel using foam adhesive squares to pop it up.
•    Adhere the flower, arrange the leaves and adhere.
•    Add the completed card front to the white card base using double sided adhesive tape.
