'Hopeful' Card by Melissa

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Melissa a created a really sweet card to share today.
I hope it gets you feeling crafty too!
Tutorial:
•    Base Card – Cut white card 14.5 x 29cm and fold in half.
•    Cut black card 14 x 13cm and adhere to base card.
•    Cut a piece of patterned paper the same size of black card.  Stitch around all sides and distress edges with Zutter Distrezz-it-all.  Adhere to black card.
•    Cut a piece of XpressIt blending card 8 x 11.5cm.  Stamp ‘Hopeful’ with momento Tuxedo Black and colour with Copic Markers.  Stitch all sides.  Adhere ‘Hot Rock crystals’ with I-Rock Setting tool.
Adhere to a piece of black card 8 x 11.5cm.
•    Cut the Die ‘Crystal Star’ out of white card.  Adhere to base card.
•    Using Pop Dots, attach ‘hopeful’ to base card.
•    Embellish with Prima Flower.

Materials:

Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E71, E77, E79
Clothes: R11, R14, R17, B000, B93, B95, B97
Light: E41, E43, E47, Y35, Y38, C3, C0
Flowers: R14, R17

Melissa's Tip: I find that if I do not have a ‘middle’ colour in the colour range of my copics (example E74 for the Hair), I use the ‘tip to tip’ method of colouring.  ie: Touch the tip of the lighter colour (E71) to the tip of the darker colour (E77) and colour from there.  Remember to clean the tip of the lighter marker after doing this technique.
