'Smile' Layout by Narelle

Hi Everyone,
Our DT Gal Narelle has created a gorgeous layout to share today.
I hope you enjoy it.

Tutorial:
Note:-  All papers are inked with "Old paper" ink before adhering.
1.. Trim PP787 - Willow Path, to 28cm x 28cm and adhere on an angle on vanilla cardstock base.
2. Trim PP793 - Huckleberry Hill, to 28cm x 28cm and adhere over top of green, at an opposite diagonal angle.
3.  Cut a rectangle 9cm x 24cm from the PP790 - Gooseberry Falls paper, and adhere in the centre of a rectangle 10cm x 25cm cut from PP787 - Willow Path.
4. Wrap cream satin ribbon around the rectangles 2.5cm up from bottom edge, and fasten at the back with tape. (try putting an offcut of white or cream cardstock behind the ribbon so the pattern on the paper doesn't show through the ribbon)
5.  Adhere the rectangle on the layout at the same angle as the base green paper
6.  Mat your photo on cream cardstock with a 0.5cm border around the side, and adhere on the layout, just above the ribbon and overlapping half the rectangle of papers.
7.  Tie a bow and adhere over the ribbon at the corner of the photo.  Add a title sticker in the lower left corner near the bow.
8.  Fussy cut flowers from the PP784 - Crab Apple Orchard paper and adhere to the lower right and upper left of the photo.  Cut some butterflies from the PP793 - Huckleberry Hill paper to scatter on the layout, and select some appropriate pieces from the DC176 - Tidbits pack to create a journalling spot cluster in the upper left of the layout.

'Simple Moments Together' Layout by Linda

Hi Everyone,
Our DT Gal Linda has created a lovely layout to share today, I hope you enjoy it.

Tutorial:
1.    Select your photos and how much space they will take up on your layout so you can mist and gesso-dab the background paper (Flowers – back) in the areas where it will be seen peeking out from behind the photos.
2.    Cut a strip of the Damask paper, 30cm x 5cm and punch the edge with the scallop border punch.
3.    Cut a strip of the Cards (orange spot) paper, 30cm x 4.5cm.
4.    Layer these two pieces 3cm in from the left side of the layout.
5.    Mat your photos on white card, ink in black and adhere to the centre of the layout.
6.    Adhere white string with liquid glue to the top of the banner die cuts (leaving plenty of extra string at each end for twirling)
7.    Add fancy edge cut with a punch or decorative scissors to the top of each little banner.
8.    Adhere the completed banner across the layout to give it movement – use foam tape.
9.    Curl the excess string at each end and adhere with liquid glue in spots on the layout. (I use Zig 2 Way Glue Pen for this)
10.    Adhere your chosen Flashcards to the side of your photos to tell your story. Embellish with a brad.
11.    Choose a sentiment from the Accessories sheet and adhere with foam tape to the bottom right of your photo block.
12.    Add extra title details with lettering stickers to one of the hand cut frames from the paper of the same name and adhere to the top left of the photo block.
13.    Heat emboss a few butterflies from the stamp set using white and silver powders, stamp another with coordinating ink, fussy cut and add to the layout to finish.

1.    Trim, score and fold smooth White card to make a 4.25” x 5.5” top fold card.
2.    Trim floral dp to 1/8” smaller than base card.
3.    From polka dot dp die cut the ‘edge only’ die from Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Petal. Adhere to left side of floral dp.
4.    Wrap twine around the dp and tie in a bow through a pink button. Adhere to the card base.

7.    Stamp the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink to the centre white section of the scalloped heart. Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig to help position.
8.    From a scrap of Rouge card die cut the smallest plain heart and adhere this to the bottom of the white sentiment panel.
9.    Stamp ‘Ria’ to smooth white card and colour with Prisma Pencils and Zest it Blending solution. Cut the image out.
10.    Using Zip Dry glue adhere ‘Ria’ to the top right section of the scalloped heart.
11.    Adhere the heart with ‘Ria’ to the base card using Scrapbook adhesive foam squares.
