Bon Anniversaire mon ami – Easel Card by Sue W

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Sue W has created a gorgeous Easel card to share today.
I hope you enjoy it.

Tutorial:
Bon Anniversaire mon ami – Easel

1.    Using the smallest die from Grand Labels Four and a scored and folded piece of smooth white card cut and emboss the shape. Make sure the top section is positioned off the card to ensure both shapes are attached.  Cut another single shape from the same die.
2.    Score and fold the top section of the double shape down to make the support for the card front.  Position the die back in place over the base shape and sponge the shape with Antique Linen distress ink.
3.    Adhere the Prima flower just beneath the centre of the shape.
4.    Stamp the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
5.    Stamp the JustRite image to smooth white card using Tuxedo Black ink. Die cut the image using the matching Spellbinder Labels 4 die. Colour the roses with Distress markers then lightly sponge the entire shape with Antique Linen distress ink.

To assemble the Easel:
1.    Replace the third ‘Grand’ Labels Four shape (matt) back into the die and sponge with Antique Linen distress ink.
2.    From the dp die cut the largest Labels 4 shape and adhere this to the above sponged ‘matt’.
3.    Die cut the next size down labels 4 shape from smooth white card and whilst still in the die sponge with Antique Linen distress ink.  Adhere the coloured image to this layer.
4.    From a scrap of green card die cut one Die-namics Fancy Flourish. Trim this into two sections.
5.    From a scrap of lemon card and some of the dp, die cut three Memory Box small pinwheel posies. Assemble the roses.
6.    Adhere the mounted image to the centre of the ‘matt’.
7.    Adhere one half of the flourish and the three roses to the top of the ‘matt’ and add 3 pearls.
8.    Tuck the second section of the flourish, beneath the Prima Flower and add 3 pearls.
9.    To complete the card add some Zip dry glue to the folded down section of the Easel card and position the completed card front  over this.

  1. This card is exquisite! The overall design works so well with the colours used, layering, the stamp and colouring, the flowers etc.
