Purse Greetings by Sue W.

Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Sue W. has created this lovely Purse & card to share today.
Isn't it just beautiful. I hope you enjoy it!

Tutorial:
Die cut and emboss the largest Label 4 shape from Core-dinations card. Trim off the top shape (appr. 1-5/8”).  Turn the card and score from the trimmed end at 3” and 6-1/8”.  Fold along the score lines and you can see the purse shape.

For the Gusset:
Cut a strip of the same card 5-1/5” long by 1” wide.
Score across the 1” wide at ¼”, ½” and ¾” and concertina fold.
Put aside until the purse is decorated.

To decorate the front of the purse die cut a second shape using the next size down label die.  (I used a 6 x 6 paper pad so positioned the die to give me the shape without the trimmed off top section.) Adhere the top flap section in place.
Before adding the bottom section trim a strip of DP ½” wide for the ribbon.
The buckle is next; I cut this from green card then threaded the ‘ribbon’ through before adhering to the front of the purse.

Add two strips of X-Press It High Tack 14” tape to either side of the concertina folded card and position this between the front and back of your purse.

The Bellyband: Trim a piece of coordinating card stock to 1-1/2” x 7-1/2” and score across the 1-7/8”, 2”, 5-1/8” and 5-2/8”.    Add a second layer of DP over this with both sides die cut (I used the edge only die from Spellbinders Edgebilities Classic Bracket).  Adhere the short ends to form the band.

To decorate Cut three Small Pinwheel Posies and two leaves (I used The Memory Box die of the same name and a leaf from Spellbinders Foliage dies.)
Arrange the posies, adding the left over spirals to the arrangement. To complete the band, add a few Flourish With a Bling pearls in Antique Gold.

The card is made by trimming some smooth white card to make a 5” x 2-6/8” side fold card.  Round opposite corners.
Stamp the Sentiment in the centre of the white card followed by some roses in opposite corners. I used the rose from Lilybee design’s Buttercup clear stamp set stamped in Rangers Dried Marigold distress ink.  Adding a punched butterfly to complete.
