Layered Flowers Card by Sue

Hi Everyone,
Our DT Gal Sue has made another beautiful, elegant card to share, I hope you enjoy it.
Sue has used the Hero Arts "Essential Messages & Layered Flowers" Stamp sets.
Love it !

Products Used:
Cardstock: Kraft, Black
Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black
Stamps: Hero Arts Clear- Essential Messages & Layered Flowers
Paper: My Mind's Eye Paper Pad - Fine and Dandy - True Blue
Accessories: Black Twill ribbon, Button, Sew Easy Black FlossDie-namics Open Scallop Border Die.

Tutorial:
Cut black cardstock 105mm x 147mm (C6 size)
Cut Kraft cardstock 100mm x 142mm, the orange DS paper from the True Blue paper pack 100mm x 85mm.
Cut an additional strip of the orange DS paper, run through your die cutting machine with the open scallop die, trim to 100mm in length.
Layer the orange rectangle and the die cut strip on to the Kraft, cover the join with black twill, add an additional 2 loops of ribbon (cut 40mm lengths looped)
Layer onto the black cardstock and then onto a C6 card base.
Stamp two flowers onto the yellow DS paper and one onto the orange, cut out as pictured.  To add more height and interest use foam tape in between each flower layer.
Stamp two leaves on the white based DS paper, trim.

To make the centre of the flower, cut lengths of the Black floss, (10-20mm) separate each thread.  Add a small amount of glue to the centre of the flower and randomly, trimming where necessary.  Attach the button in the middle.
Attach a small piece of foam tape near the tip of each leaf. Layer the flowers and the leaves in the center of the card, once secured bend up the sides of the leaves to add more interest.
Finish off with a sentiment & you are done!

Flutterby Card by Sue

Hi Everyone,
Our DT Gal Sue has made a beautiful butterfly card to share, I hope you enjoy it.
Sue has used the "Antique Engravings & Essential Messages" Clear Stamp sets from Hero Arts to create this lovely card. So Stylish!

Products Used:
Cardstock: Straw, Xpress-it Blending Cardstock
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine - Onyx Black
Stamps: Hero Arts Clear Stamps - Essential Messages & Antique Engravings
Paper: Pink Paislee - Queen Bee
Copics:  Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, C1
Accessories: SEW Easy Stitching Tool with the Zig Zag headDie-namics Jumbo Scallop Border Die, Nestabilities Labels 10,  Clear rhinestones (coloured with Y08 copic), buttons, G├╝termannThread 106,
We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper Tool.

 Tutorial:
Cut Straw cardstock to make a 150mm x 150mm card,  round the bottom 2 corners with the corner chomper.
Cut striped paper from the Queen Bee pack, 70mm x 150mm, adhere to the right side of the card.
Cut polka dot paper 90mmx 150mm, run this through your Die cutting machine using the die-namics scallop die, scalloping each side, trying to match the scallop placement on each side.
Cut the floral paper 45mm x 150mm, run some double sided tape down the centre of the reverse side and adhere to the scalloped piece.  **Adding tape where you are going to use the Sew Easy, will affect the successful piercing of the holes.**
Insert the Zig Zag head into the Sew Easy.
Roll the Sew Easy over the joins to make the stitching holes.
Take you needle (1 comes with the Sew Easy handle) and your thread of choice and stitch away.
When you have finished all the stitching, mount this to the card base with double sided foam mounting tape.
Using the ledger paper in the Queen Bee pad, cut out a label with theLlabels 10 (for this one I have used #3 - #1 being the smallest), Cut a 1/2 one from Straw cardstock too, you will only see one end.
Stamp the sentiment from the Hero Arts Essential Messages set,  on to the 1st label, layer as pictured.
Stamp the butterflies from the Hero Arts Antique Engraving on to Xpress it blending cardstock, colour with copic markers and carefully cut out.
Add the butterflies to the card with foam mounting tape
Thread a button with the same thread used for the stitching and tie in a bow.
For the final touch, add a little sparkle with some rhinestones to match, for the ones on this card I have used silver ones and coloured them with the Y08 copic marker.
