'Book Frame' Card by Sue W.

 Hi Everyone
Our DT Gal Sue W. has made a beautiful Christmas Card to share with you today.
I hope you enjoy it.
1.  Trim, score and fold smooth white card to make a 6" square card.
2.  Trim MME dp to 5-7/8"square.
3.  Using the Classic Scallop die cut a layer of Crimson card followed by a layer of embossed gold card to sit through the centre of the card. Adhere to card front.
4. Using gold chalk ink stamp the Book Frame twice to Ivory card. Cut one around the outer edge. Cut the second in from the outer edge to form a loose page.
5. Stamp the music image to the second piece and shape both sides.  Adhere the loose page to the 1st piece by adding a line of Zip dry glue through the centre 'spine' and a line of foam squares through the centre of each side of the pages.  This gives the raised look to the book.
6.  Rub some Inka Gold around the page edges.
7.  For the red book cover draw around the stamp to make a template and cut with sharp snips. Adhere the book pages to the red cover adding some 2/8" red ribbon along the centre.
8.  From some gold card die cut the swirly leaf from the Bella Rose die.
9.  Stamp a three layer Poinsettia flower in Rhubarb Stalk ink to Crimson card and using the matching die cut the petals and shape.  Assemble the Poinsettia using dries clear to adhere and add a clear dew drop to the centre.
10. Cut and emboss the leaves from a scrap of green card using the largest petal shape used for the flower. Trim this down to make three leaves to sit beneath the Poinsettia.
11. Wrap some crimson satin ribbon around the base of the card front.
12. Trim the gold swirly leaf to sit around the book pages (as shown) and adhere these and the book Frame to the card front.
13. Add the assembled Poinsettia over the satin ribbon.
14. Stamp the sentiment to ivory card in gold chalk ink, round the corners and add to the card front using 1/4" foam squares.
15. Adhere the completed card front to the folded card base to complete.
