Beautiful Day Card by Sue

Hi Everyone,
Our DT Gal Sue has made another lovely card to share, I hope you enjoy it.
Sue has used Hero Arts Clings Music Background stamp & MFT die-namics Framed Greeting Die and stamp set to create an elegant card.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Powder, Black and Vanilla.
Stamps: Hero Arts Clings Music Background & MFT die-namics Framed Greeting Die and Stamp set.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies: MFT Die-namics Faux Crochet Border, MFT Flower & Leaf TrioMFT Rolled Rose, MFT Scalloped Scallop, Spellbinder Labels 14 (die 3 & 4), Felt, Pearls & Black Twill.
Dimensional Magic

Tutorial:

Cut C6 card from the black cardstock.

Cut Powder cardstock 100mm x 110mm.  Ink up the Music background and stamp on to the ‘Powder’ piece using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Attach to the black card using double sided tape

Cut 2 scallop border pieces, one from the orange felt and one from the Vanilla cardstock.  Attach to the bottom of the stamped ‘Powder’ piece.  Then, slightly bend up the vanilla cardstock, giving the scallops more interest having them raised up from the black.

Cover the join of the scallops and the ‘Powder’ piece with a length of black twill, wrap around leaving the join of the twill at the front of the card, then cover the join with a bow and a couple of loops.  I have used double sided tape to secure the loops and dimensional magic to secure the bow.

Now on to the sentiment panel........ using the Labels 14 cut one black shape (die 4) and a vanilla shape (die 3), using the pictures as a guide, attach the black shape onto of the musical background using double sided tape.  Layer the Vanilla shape on top using double sided foam mounting tape.

Using the Die-namics label that comes with the Framed Greeting set, cut out a label from ‘Powder’ cardstock, stamp your frame and sentiment of choice on top.  Layer onto of the Vanilla shape using foam mounting tape.

Cut a Rolled rose from orange felt, wind up to form a flower and secure with glue, (Sue used the hot glue gun to secure this one, it is so quick to dry). Cut out 3 vanilla leaves, attach to the card close to the sentiment.

Lastly add some pearls for a little softness, Sue also squeezed one into the centre of the rose.

Please Note:
MFT DIES - We are currently sold out on quite a few of the MFT Die-namics dies, but they have been reordered & should be back in stock before too long. Please place stock notification requests for them on the website & we will let you know when they arrive.
